Work continues on draft Ocean Action Plan

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Body (MidA RPB) thanks everyone who participated in the in-person public meeting and workshop-style public engagement session on March 22-24, 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Both events were open to the public and included a number of opportunities for public comment. The MidA RPB meeting summary is now posted on the MidA RPB website. The slide presentation that was discussed during the meeting and the updated timeline are also posted on the website.

At the meeting, the MidA RPB considered draft components of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Ocean Action Plan (OAP) and public input received during the workshop session. The MidA RPB generally agreed on draft OAP content.

The next steps are for MidA RPB members to continue refining content for the draft OAP in preparation for public review and comment this summer. A webinar will be scheduled to kick-off the public review process, and public listening session open houses hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council on the Ocean (MARCO) will be held in the Mid-Atlantic states during July.

Please continue to check the MidA RPB website for additional information and details about upcoming events.

Stakeholders are encouraged to provide comments to the MidA RPB at any time via email: MidAtlanticRPB@boem.gov.
