You’re Invited to the 2020 Ocean Forum
From: Kevin Hassell, Chair, Mid-Atlantic Committee on the Ocean,
Environmental Specialist, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection
MACO will convene a virtual Mid-Atlantic Ocean Forum on Tuesday May 19 from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. We regret that we had to cancel our face-to-face meeting, and are working hard to ensure our virtual effort will be informative and interactive. A draft agenda for the webinar is available on the MACO website here. We expect to open registration and provide additional details before the end of the month.
We are attempting to structure the webinar to provide engaging opportunities for you to interact with the presenters, provide your input on MACO activities, and “brainstorm” other priorities and needs for further collaboration.
Please mark your calendars and plan to join us ON May 19!
The Mid-Atlantic Ocean Forum webinar is one part of MACO’s ongoing outreach to stakeholders. You will recall that MACO held a public webinar on February 27 to provide updates on our work and review the findings of our stakeholder survey. The video and presentations from the February webinar are available here.
In addition, we hope that you will also be able to participate in this upcoming webinar:
May 28, 11 a.m. MACAN Webinar: NOAA Ocean Acidification Research Plan
[Registration link forthcoming]
Subsequent webinars will be held to discuss more specific issues in depth.
Please contact Judy Tucker (info@midatlanticocean.org) for more information or if you have any questions.
The Mid-Atlantic Committee on the Ocean (MACO) was established by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council on the Ocean (MARCO) to foster collaboration among states, federal agencies, the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council, and federally recognized tribes, and to engage stakeholders. The purpose of MACO is to enhance the vitality of the region’s ecosystem and economy through increased communication and collaboration.
